Welcome to my photography website, I hope that you enjoy your visit.

Now for an introduction of sorts and some background, my name is Harold Hooper and I currently reside in a suburb of Kansas City, KS. I have been interested in photography for nearly my entire life. My uncle Jerry Lowery (now deceased) was a professional photographer for the US Air Force and started me out by giving me an Argus C3 35mm rangefinder. Coming from a family of modest means this camera had to see me through my high school years, but it taught me one of the most valuable lessons a photographer can learn - all cameras are merely light tight boxes, it is the photographer behind the camera that makes the magic.

I have had some formal art and photography training in both high school and college, but making a living at it has never been in the cards to this point. Who knows what the future holds? Never say "never".
